Privacy, the short version
BoyWoofy is Charlie and Fluffy's personal website. We keep things simple and we never sell or share your information.
What we store
- Your email, if you create an account or sign up for the newsletter. We use it to send your sign-in codes, Charlie's Pupdates (only if you ask for them) and replies about Wish List gifts.
- Your display name, which appears on The Petco Dash leaderboard.
- Your game scores and which Wish List items you've said you're getting.
- Gift messages you send from the Wish List, which go to Fluffy by email so Fluffy can reply to you.
- Charlie VIP Club: your plan, waitlist and membership dates, the meetups you RSVP for, and (only if you add it) the mailing address for your paw-printed notecards. Only Fluffy can see your address, and only uses it to mail your notecards.
- Brand offers sent through Work with Charlie: the name, business, email, website and message you send, so Fluffy can reply.
- Egg hunt progress: which of Charlie's hidden eggs you've found, saved to your account if you're signed in so it follows you between devices.
- Halloween costume votes: your vote, tied to a random ID stored in your browser (or your account if signed in), plus a scrambled, non-reversible version of your network address so one person can't stuff the ballot box.
Virtual Charlie remembers his mood and your pets and boops in your own browser only. The egg hunt also keeps your progress in your browser.
Emails
Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. The newsletter is opt-in, and every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also turn it off from your account.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That removes your email, name, scores, pledges, gift messages, VIP membership details, RSVPs and notecard address from the site. (Any gift message you already sent is still in Fluffy's inbox, so Fluffy can reply.)
Behind the scenes
VIP payments are arranged directly with Fluffy, so this site never sees your card details. The site runs on Cloudflare, which also sends our emails and provides a quick, privacy-friendly "are you a human?" check on sign-up forms.
